BSc. Biology-Chemistry / Sponge / Applier of Knowledge / People are Better Than Dogs / Love finding ways to improve quality of life
Hi, I’m Nadine Drillen.
My mission is to help you become a healthier, happier version of yourself. Not just physically, but mentally and financially, too!
I believe that we all are AMAZING human beings exactly the way we are. And I also believe that there is a “greater” version of us that can be accessed through the right nutrition, lifestyle, and financial freedom. I’ve learned that these things are all 100% attainable through the right transformational mindset.
I don’t believe that money is the end goal, but I do believe that it enhances who you already are. It allows you to give more, do more and be more!
Unfortunately, it is hard to avoid trading off other important pieces of the puzzle to make an income.
A Little Bit About Me…
I worked my butt off for a degree in Biology-Chemistry – I even made it on the Dean’s list! I was so proud of my accomplishment, but shortly after graduation I realized something..
This degree that I worked so hard for and spent so much money on left me with no direction that I could monetize & enjoy.
Hence my journey from a small town in New Brunswick, to the big beautiful city that I now call home – Toronto.
I spent the first month of this journey in a desk job, trying to get some basic customer service experience so I could go on and get a desk job with more responsibility (lol) – trading time freedom for financial gain. This was a major eye opener to how I did NOT want my life to look like in the future. Safe to say I didn’t stay in this position for long.
I was left looking for a source of income that was somewhat fulfilling and provided me with a degree of time freedom. The hospitality industry made sense.
If I could sum up this industry in 4 words, they would be “easy come, easy go”. Not just the employees or the money; easy come, easy go also applies to our health. A large monetary reward comes at an even larger health cost.
People have always told me that the highest paying jobs come with the most sacrifices.
After 3 years of navigating through this, I thought: there has GOT to be a better way for us to no longer sacrifice our health or time freedom for financial gain. So I put my investigator hat on, looked at who I envied/who seemed the happiest/most fulfilled in life and did my best to do exactly what they were doing.
From here, I was able to apply the techniques learned by my mentor, and craft a lifestyle that encompasses my 4 pillars of happiness: Financial Wellness, Cellular Integrity, Movement/Exercise & Love/Connection. Being mindful of these elements, and doing something every day that contributes to each of these things, has not only allowed me to show up for myself in life, but also show up for the people around me too!
Life is not a private affair. A story and its lessons are only made useful if shared. So I’ve chosen to honour my mentor by sharing her wisdom with you through this page, my social media & in person chats.
I want to start by sharing the very first set of principals she taught me, which I am using in my journey to break through glass ceilings and overcome limiting beliefs – life is a process, not a status! We are constantly evolving and I am so happy to share this proven process with you.
